About Our Well-Qualified Attorney

The Law Office of Shawn P. Hammond was founded by Georgia attorney Shawn Hammond in 1996. Except for time spent on military deployment, Mr. Hammond has practiced law with a focus on military law, family law, criminal law and personal injury. He recently returned from active duty in Afghanistan and Iraq, where he received 9 medals, including a Bronze Star. Past experience has included time as an attorney for Safe Homes, the Augusta-area women’s shelter, where he handled a high number of Georgia domestic violence petitions. He also completed an externship with the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C., while he was in law school.
